The kit adds a whole new touch to the set. It has a marvelous effect.
For other -new- customers, I would recommend trying out a smaller light kit first, before buying or installing a larger kit. I did that too, and it really helped me getting to know the concept of assembling and installing the lights in Lego bricks.
If you are new to lights it can definitely be difficult to install them at first. Once you have done a few kits, it becomes much easier. I recommend starting with a smaller kit if you are a beginner. In general, the lights are amazing and give a completely new look to the lego set.
