Usual GoB Quality
I now have 15 modular buildings, all with GoB lighting. I prefer to completely hide the wiring, don't mind modifying bricks, and can solder connections, so I usually only use the lighting components, and the wire (not the distributions) - the kits are still pretty good value and I have never had a single problem with quality or service.
This shopping street set has a lot of large windows, so needs a lot of strip lights on the ceilings to show up all the usual excellent Lego internal detail - I like that strip lights were also added under the balconies and the crane to help light the outside better. I did modify the balconies slightly to hide the light strips, as I prefer the components not to be visible. I did not fit the lights in the drains on the sidewalk, as I didn't really like the effect, and also moved the light in the cat statue up to better light the figure.
I have fitted wireless power connectors between all floors of all my modular buildings, and would always recommend this. I used to have to buy these parts separately, however more recent lighting kits include them as standard, which is great. i think this particular kit is actually one power connector short - the set needs a total of four pairs, due to its split design.
Great job GoB - as usual - Go Estonia !
